This weblog is written in Emacs, in PSGML mode. It is rendered using Blosxom with a few fairly simple plugins, including one I wrote that lets me keep the whole entry XHTML (and therefore lets PSGML mode keep me from screwing anything up too badly). Someday I will probably get around to pubishing that.
In theory everything here is XHTML 1.0 Strict, although I’m probably not checking that as rigorously as I ought to be. The markup is about as purely semantic as I can manage. The obvious failures tend to be due to shortcomings in the current abilities of CSS (or, alternatively, shortcomings in my current CSS abilities).
The photograph used for the header on these pages was taken by Suzanne Tom, somewhere south of San Francisco. Generally, all other photos were taken by me. I try to do minimal digital manipulation of these photos. Those taken on film typically are only lightly cropped. Those that started life in the digital realm have sometimes been more severely cropped, or treated to level correction, red-eye reduction, or, occasionally, iPhoto’s enhance filter.
I am searching for an iPhoto plugin that will automate exporting multiple copies of a picture at various resolutions.
